Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Hospice Chaplain (PRN/On-Call) position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing for the spiritual needs of hospice participants and families through coordination, communication and liaison with the chaplains at the Acts communities, and other local community spiritual providers. Collaborates with Acts chaplains in the preparation, evaluation, and execution of the spiritual component of the interdisciplinary care plan to assure that the aims of continuity and comprehensiveness of care are accomplished.

Requirements

  • A Master of Divinity or its equivalent from an accredited seminary or accredited graduate theological school
  • Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or its equivalent
  • Minimum of three years’ ministry experience, including at least two years of experience in hospice or a transferable, clinical venue of practice, such as long-term care or hospital care
  • Ordination in one’s faith tradition, including a denominational endorsement, indicating that the candidate is in good standing.
