As an Aide, you will be eligible for: + Competitive Pay + 401(k) with company matching contributions + Career growth opportunities available at both the branch and corporate levels + One on One Onboarding Program with a Nurse Preceptor + Local and national award programs + Referral bonus program + Mileage reimbursement or Fleet Program + Financial assistance program supporting teammates in times of need As a Hospice Aide/ Certified Nursing Assistant, you will: + Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director or Patient Care Manager Senior and function under the direction, instruction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor. + Help the patient to maintain good personal hygiene. + Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment. + Prepare and serve light meals. + Assist in feeding patient when needed. + Assist the patient in ambulation. + Assist with the safe use of a walker or wheelchair as taught and supervised by the nurse. + Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as emptying trash and changing linens. + Assist with certain treatments as ordered on the aide plan of care and as allowable in state-specific regulations. + Attempt to promote patient's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest. + Give basic emotional and psychological support to the patient and other members of the household. + Report any change in the patient's mental or physical condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary team. + Demonstrate basic care to the primary caregiver. + Practice infection control measures and standard precautions. + Provide accurate documentation with visit itineraries + Attend staff meetings. + Participate in at least one Quality Improvement activity yearly, as assigned by supervisor. + Complete documentation in a timely manner as outlined in orientation.
