About The Position

Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Fargo area and surrounding communities. This role is a vital member of the Interdisciplinary team (IDG) at HIA Hospice, formerly Hospice of the Red River Valley. The ideal candidate is motivated, takes initiative to learn, is dependable, and a team player. The position involves providing personal care services to hospice patients as directed by their plan of care, including personal hygiene, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care, and other necessary assistance. Key duties also include safely transferring patients, taking vital signs, and completing charting in a timely manner to ensure comprehensive reporting to the team. The role requires adherence to the nursing assistant job scope to meet federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position.

Requirements

One year patient care experience in a health care setting
Ability to be flexible and effectively manage priorities, multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work with and communicate effectively with terminally ill patients and their families
Certified Nursing Assistants registration from North Dakota and Minnesota State Department of Health
Valid drivers license and auto insurance
