About the position

The Branch Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospice branch, ensuring operational efficiencies, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and supporting business development and patient growth. This role requires a strong understanding of home health and hospice practices, along with effective people management and development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the branch.
  • Ensure operational efficiencies and quality of patient care.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and support business development.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage staff development.
  • Conduct daily stand-up calls and review SHP reports and dashboards.
  • Lead IDG/Case Conference and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Complete payroll and billing tasks per company processes.
  • Recruit and retain quality talent for the organization.
  • Perform timely and accurate performance reviews for agency staff.
  • Coordinate schedules and staffing to meet patient care needs.
  • Participate in QAPI meetings and ensure action items are reported to the Governing Body.
  • Monitor branch performance in HCHB Analytics and ensure renewable requirements are met.
  • Prepare agency QAPI review and Annual Agency Evaluation in partnership with regional educators and Administrator.
  • Conduct staff meetings and communicate policy updates.
  • Complete initial and ongoing assessments of patients/clients and develop care plans.
  • Supervise and provide clinical direction to nursing personnel and aides.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nursing License and Driver's License.
  • 2 or more years of management experience, preferably in Home Health or Hospice.
  • Supervisory experience in healthcare or hospice setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding hospice care.
  • Effective communication skills and detail-oriented.

  • Experience in hospice or home health settings.
  • Knowledge of patient care within Home Health or Hospice.
