About The Position

Hospice Aide (CNA) Family Comfort Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide essential personal care services to patients facing life-limiting illnesses. This role is vital in ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for our patients and meaningful support for their families. Position Overview The Hospice Aide assists patients with daily personal care needs and works closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in the home or facility setting.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a care team

Nice To Haves

• Hospice or healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral care, hair care, and toileting
• Assist with changing bedding, clothing, and maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Support patients with hygiene routines, including specialized mouth and dental care, particularly for patients undergoing chemotherapy
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the hospice care team
• Assist with basic wound care, including keeping dressings clean and intact as directed
• Promote comfort, dignity, and emotional support for patients and their loved ones
