The Hospice Aide (CNA) position at St. Croix Hospice involves providing compassionate and quality care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The aide will work closely with patients and their families, offering support and assistance in daily activities, while also monitoring and reporting changes in the patient's condition.

Provide patient care including bathing, nail/skin care, dressing/undressing, and personal hygiene while maintaining a sanitary environment.
Offer positive, respectful, and confidential communication with patients and families.
Take and record vital signs, and assist with self-administered medications.
Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping and feeding the patient as needed.
Assess and report patient's condition and changes to the RN Case Manager.
Assist in ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, and support therapy activities.

Excellent interpersonal skills such as communication, empathy, and compassion.
Demonstrated tact and patience.
Time management and organizational skills.
High integrity and a commitment to HIPAA privacy standards.
Comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
At least 18 years of age.
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) designation current with state-specific requirements.
Licensed and insured driver with an automobile in good working order.
