About The Position

At Compassus, the Hospice Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care to patients and their families. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients for hospice eligibility, explaining hospice care services, addressing initial patient needs, and collaborating with the Inter-Disciplinary Team to develop initial plans of care. Requirements

• RN license in the state you work
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse
• Current driver’s license
• Current CPR and BCLS certification

• Hospice experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Enable patients to spend quality time with their loved ones and doing the activities they enjoy
• Assess patients for hospice eligibility and explain hospice care services to patients, families/caregivers
• Ensure all patient’s initial needs are addressed
• Collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team members regarding initial plan of care, patient’s condition, and other essential information
