Position Summary: The unit secretary performs clerical duties on assigned patient care unit under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.

Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology
Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% the workday.
Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary. Weight will vary from patient to patient.
Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Must be free from signs of illness and infections
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization
