About The Position

The Hose Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing industry by ensuring the proper assembly, maintenance, and repair of industrial hoses and related components. This position is responsible for fabricating custom hose assemblies that meet precise specifications and safety standards, directly impacting the efficiency and safety of manufacturing operations. The Hose Technician will work closely with production teams to troubleshoot hose-related issues, perform quality inspections, and maintain accurate records of work performed. This role requires a strong understanding of various hose materials, fittings, and industry regulations to deliver reliable and durable solutions. Ultimately, the Hose Technician contributes to minimizing downtime and enhancing operational productivity through expert hose management and service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in hose assembly, repair, or a related manufacturing role.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial hose systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and safety data sheets.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in hose fabrication and repair.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in hose assembly or hydraulic systems (e.g., Parker or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with industrial hoses.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards such as OSHA and ISO related to hose handling.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Forklift operation certification or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, repair, and maintain industrial hoses and hose assemblies according to technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Inspect hoses and fittings for wear, damage, or defects, and perform necessary testing to ensure product integrity.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to diagnose hose-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of hose assembly processes, repairs, and inventory management.
  • Operate and maintain hose cutting, crimping, and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies during all phases of work.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and customers regarding hose selection and maintenance.
