PIRTEK, the nation’s leading provider for on-site hydraulic and industrial hose assembly and replacement, is hiring for a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in the Charleston, SC area. We are looking for a highly driven, self-sufficient individual with excellent communication and customer service skills that knows their way around gas and/or diesel machines to join our growing PIRTEK North Charleston Team. Our most successful Technicians are: Natural problem solvers Mechanically inclined with practical, hands-on experience Enjoy working with their hands & helping people, and Have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and take pride in their work Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required! Complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes and safety standards is provided. Requirements

Mechanical aptitude – consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
Climb on and/or crawl underneath machines
Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
Lift up to 50 pounds
High School diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Some heavy equipment operating experience is not required but is a plus
Experience in industrial development & construction, automotive / marine / field mechanics or a related industry is a plus

Responsibilities

Operate with integrity and take pride in doing quality work
Carry out service calls & visits to businesses in your local area
Identify faulty hoses and/or hose assemblies to service the customers’ needs
Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement
Input service details into a tablet to create accurate invoices
Develop close relationships with new and existing customers
Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with extra incentive pay)
Perform other related duties as assigned
