The Department of Biological Systems Engineering is seeking a Horticultural Technician. The person in this position will care for existing greenhouse and field plants that are used for phenotyping via digital imaging techniques. They will also germinate new plants in collaboration with the cranberry breeding program to include in the phenotyping program. Responsibilities include watering, weeding, transplanting, pruning, pollinating, and managing the nutrients & soil in the greenhouse and occasional planting and maintenance of plants in the field. Additional projects are available to work on in the lab if interested. A valid US Driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one, is required. Work schedule is generally 10am - 3pm, Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week maximum. This is a terminal position, 12 months duration.
