About The Position

Horticultural Production Team Member (Seasonal) Full-time and part-time available; Monday - Friday (weekend availability required during peak season). This is a seasonal position, typically lasting from date of hire through mid July (dates may fluctuate based on weather and business needs). Starting pay: $17 - 19/hr. depending on experience. Fort Collins Nursery is hiring seasonal Horticultural Production Team Members to help grow and care for the plants that supply our retail nursery. Requirements

  • Interest in horticultural production or outdoor work.
  • Ability to work physically and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Landscaping or horticulture experience.
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, or plant care (not required—we’re happy to train!).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and general plant care.
  • Monitor plant health and help identify pests or disease issues.
  • Grow a massive variety of over 100,000 plants - everything from perennials to trees, with a big focus on natives.
  • Operate and maintain horticultural tools and equipment.
  • Assist with receiving shipments, loading plants and pulling orders, and grounds maintenance.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet seasonal production goals.
