About The Position

Hormel Foods Corporation is looking for a driven and strategic Brand Management Intern to join our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) team. This internship provides hands-on experience in managing iconic brands, driving consumer engagement, and supporting innovation in the refrigerated foods category. Interns will gain real-world experience in brand management within a leading CPG company, exposure to cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making, mentorship from experienced brand leaders, and a deeper understanding of the refrigerated foods market and consumer dynamics.

Requirements

  • Must graduate in August 2026, December 2026, May 2027 and major in Food Marketing, Marketing, Business, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
  • Possesses strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated leadership and persuasive skills are necessary for success in this position.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Passion for building brands and understanding consumer behavior.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

  • Must be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of a variety of Hormel Foods Products which may include but not limited to pork, beef, chicken, turkey and nuts.
  • This position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand managers to develop and execute brand strategies and annual plans.
  • Support product innovation initiatives, including concept development, consumer testing, and commercialization.
  • Analyze consumer insights, market data, and competitive trends to inform brand decisions.
  • Assist in the development of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and experiential channels.
  • Contribute to packaging development, brand messaging, and positioning efforts.
  • Prepare and present brand performance updates and strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams.
