About The Position

Our clients communications infrastructure group has consistently grown and taken on market share across the DMV supporting all types of telecommunications customers. With the continuous industry initiatives around capacity and bandwidth demand they are consistently receiving requests form carriers, MSO's, etc. to expand their lines of business/geographical footprint. With their continued workload, additional scopes from BGE, and internal advancement, We are looking for an experienced HDD Locator to help with their increasing workload.
Our client is in the need of an OSP Horizontal Directional Drill Locator who will be working with a 4 man crew to perform underground telecommunications/utility excavation, horizontal directional drilling, conduit/cable placement, and ground restoration. The crew is made up of a CPM, locator, foreman, and operator. They need to have solid experience locating underground utilities, working/maintaining a directional drill Vermeer 2440, test pitting, drill maintenance, mixing mud, etc. They use the Vermeer brand and the candidate should feel confident maneuvering around underground placements. They also need to be able to provide direction to get the rest of the job done.
This role is 100% onsite and candidates should be open to light travel. Travel is expected anywhere in the tri-state area and will require overnight stays with jobs over 2 hours away. Candidates can expect to be back on the weekends, hotel stays covered, $45.00/day for per diem.
Onsite vehicle, no take-home, 7-4 (varies per job), advancement opportunities, bilingual is a plus (not needed).
