Requirements

  • Required - High School Diploma.
  • Learn, live and coach one team, one mission culture and values. Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy and delivering success.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control, and professional composure, at all times.
  • Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years)
  • Demonstrate the ability to: Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and if able Spanish(but not required).
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
  • Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Travel locally as needed.
  • Manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Will follow all procedures of the INK personnel manual.
  • Must possess a current and valid drivers license.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred but not required- 1-year related direct service experience.
  • (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in a human service field, education field, or related field or currently enrolled in an advanced degree program.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Outreach and recruitment of participants for classes, including efforts for minimizing attrition.
  • Establishes and maintains a trusting and professional working relationship with families by providing regular contact through personal visits.
  • Administer intake, assessments, and screening tools to clients and family members.
  • Utilizes intake and assessment results to establish and effectively implement goals, objectives, and activities identified with parents.
  • Records all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into informational software/databases.
  • Meets with Manager/supervisor on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate status of families on caseload.
  • Obtains and maintains certification in SafeCare curriculum administration.
  • Enroll and partner in serving a maximum of 60 clients and provide sessions of services as per HOPES guidelines.
  • Provide parent & health education, case management, resource and referrals, basic needs support, transportation assistance, and/or other support services to families on caseload.
  • Document all attendance on a weekly basis in informational software.
  • Attend all required trainings.
  • Provide community education on child abuse prevention strategies.
  • Develop together with Director, updates, reminders, and community education information.
