The Hope Homes Coordinator at Valley Youth House plays a crucial role in empowering and strengthening the lives of children, youth, and families through inclusive programming. In this role, the Coordinator will provide high-quality leadership and supervision to team members, volunteers, and interns across various program settings. They will be responsible for developing and facilitating transitional housing programming, which includes workshops focused on independent living skills, house meetings, and recreational activities. The Coordinator will also promote the well-being of youth and the team by creating safe spaces and addressing any negativity through trauma-informed practices. Strong conflict resolution skills are essential, as the Coordinator will serve as the point person for addressing and reporting crises or critical incidents in accordance with agency protocols. The Coordinator will engage youth in developing and implementing their individual goals and transition plans, utilizing positive youth development and culturally appropriate frameworks. Regular meetings with youth will focus on modeling and practicing essential independent living skills, including academic and career planning, household maintenance, and health and wellness.
