About The Position

Sunnyvale Honda, a new member of the DGDG family, is seeking talented Automotive Technicians with Honda, Acura, or import dealership experience to join their team in the South Bay. Requirements

  • 1+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Willingness to participate in in-house and manufacturer (Honda) training
  • Ability to operate all auto repair tools
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Insurable driving record
  • DMV Check required

Nice To Haves

  • Dealership experience
  • Honda/Acura or import dealership experience
  • Honda OEM training or certifications
  • ASE Certifications
  • Experience with CDK/X-Time or similar dealership systems

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform multi-point inspections on every vehicle
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair, including Honda systems, tools, and repair procedures
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Learn new technical information and techniques, including manufacturer (Honda) updates, to stay proficient in automotive diagnosis and repair
  • Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisors so customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer (Honda) policies and procedures
