About The Position

The Honda Auto Sales Consultant is responsible for selling new or used vehicles while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role operates on a commission pay structure, rewarding top performers with the potential to earn over $100,000 annually. The consultant will engage with customers, demonstrate vehicle features, and complete sales transactions, all while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Up to 3 years of prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Responsibilities

• Meets dealership sales goals.
• Greets customers and determines the make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
• Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicles in the showroom or on demonstration drives.
• Suggests optional equipment for customers to purchase.
• Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
• Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including preparing sales slips or sales contracts.
• Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicles.
• Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
• Engages in business development.
• Addresses customer concerns.
• Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Participates in required training.
• Records all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
• Follows safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates the company's core values.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Observes all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
