About The Position

Position Title: HOMEY Resource Hub Youth & Family Advocate Reports To: ERAP Coordinator Status: Full-time, Exempt (40 hours per week) Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, (with occasional weekends). This is NOT a hybrid or remote position. If you are seeking a hybrid position, you need not apply. Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 ABOUT HOMIES ORGANIZING THE MISSION TO EMPOWER YOUTH (HOMEY) HOMEY is a community-based grassroots organization that has been serving low-income Latino youth aged 13 to 24 in San Francisco for more than 20 years. Its mission is to transform lives by providing pathways to education, self-sufficiency, and well-being through cultural empowerment and direct services that focus on physical, mental, and emotional health. The organization is deeply rooted in the Mission District and is driven by former gang members and young leaders from the community who want to establish more effective methods of preventing youth violence and self-destruction. Since its inception in 1999, HOMEY youth have created publications, implemented educational programs, and hosted numerous events and resource fairs promoting health and well-being to their peers. Current programming includes: Guerrer@s De La Ciudad Food Program, Kali Housing Program (ERAP), Kalpulli Youth Leadership Program, CALLES Case Management Program, HOMEY Street Vendor Program, and Native Graphix. POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the immediate supervision of the ERAP Coordinator, this position is responsible for providing support and aid to individuals and families requiring social service organization assistance in the HOMEY Resource Hub. This individual will do intakes, interview and evaluate applications for services, formulate, and implement treatment plans of action and goals; assist applicants in applying for and obtaining social services. This position is funded by city funds specifically allocated for its support. Please note that the continuation of this role is contingent upon the ongoing availability of these funds. Should the funding be reduced or discontinued, the organization may need to modify the terms of employment, which could include adjustments to salary, benefits, job responsibilities, or termination of employment. The organization will provide at least 30 days' notice whenever possible if funding changes impact this position. This position does not alter the at-will employment relationship between the employee and HOMEY.
