About The Position

The position involves providing light housekeeping, bathroom cleaning, kitchen cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, and meal preparation services for elderly clients. The ideal candidate should be personable, organized, and enjoy assisting the elderly, demonstrating a solid work ethic and a commitment to quality customer service. Candidates with a background as a Personal Care Aide or Home Health Aide are preferred. The role requires reliability and the ability to maintain a schedule, as well as the capability to provide transportation for grocery shopping and other errands.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must provide 2 employment references.
• Must have a current TB Test.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Personal Care Aide or Home Health Aide.
• Background as a Nurses Aide or CNA.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and tidying rooms.
• Spot clean walls and carpets, clean refrigerator interiors and exteriors, and wipe stove tops and kitchen surfaces.
• Wash dishes, empty trash, and mop kitchen and bathroom floors.
• Make beds with fresh linens after removing old bed linens.
• Sweep and damp mop bathroom floors, clean mirrors, and bathroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Clean kitchen appliances, countertops, and cabinets, and manage dishwashing duties.
• Conduct grocery shopping trips, including obtaining shopping lists and managing client funds for purchases.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and return laundry to clients' homes.
• Prepare simple meals such as sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Benefits

• Guaranteed 40 or 30 hours per week.
• Daytime hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
