About The Position

The Program Director of Homeless Outreach and Recovery at Voice Up Publishing, Inc. is a part-time, temporary, and contract position focused on leading outreach initiatives aimed at addressing homelessness and recovery. This role combines faith-based leadership with practical outreach experience, working closely with college students to create meaningful change in their communities. The director will be responsible for program development, mentoring student leaders, and fostering partnerships with local organizations.

Requirements

• Lived experience with homelessness, recovery, and/or abuse, and willingness to share these experiences as part of a faith journey
• Strong spiritual foundation and ability to integrate faith principles into program development
• Demonstrated experience in program management or related leadership role
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and recovery principles
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds
• Strong organizational and project management skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with college students or young adults
• Background in social work, ministry, counseling, or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop homeless outreach and recovery programs, incorporating faith-based principles and practices
• Share personal testimony and faith journey, particularly experiences related to homelessness, recovery, and/or abuse
• Mentor and collaborate with emerging student leaders who are passionate about addressing homelessness, substance abuse, and related social issues
• Design and implement programs that effectively engage college students in meaningful outreach activities
• Create and maintain partnerships with local organizations, churches, and community groups
• Develop training materials and resources that combine practical outreach strategies with faith-based perspectives
• Facilitate virtual meetings and workshops with student leaders across different locations
• Track program outcomes and impact metrics
• Contribute to the organization's overall strategic planning and growth
