About The Position

The Homegoods Manager at New Seasons Market is responsible for leading the Homegoods department, ensuring exceptional customer service, effective merchandising, and financial stewardship. This role involves supervising department staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of product quality and cleanliness. The manager also acts as Manager on Duty when needed, supporting overall store operations and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous customer service, food service, retail, or grocery management experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Experience with ordering and inventory management required.
• Basic to intermediate math and computation skills required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency required, including experience with Excel and inventory software.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with home products and/or visual merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Homegoods department and staff, ensuring financial stewardship and customer service excellence.
• Supervise all department staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Create a positive and supportive work environment that promotes collaboration and open communication.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability according to sales and seasonal needs.
• Develop and execute merchandising plans to enhance customer shopping experience and drive sales.
• Handle escalated customer service situations and train staff to provide excellent service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and work safety policies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in the maintenance of a workplace safety culture and address safety concerns raised by staff.
• Prepare and deliver performance reviews and corrective actions in a timely manner.
