Overview: Quarterly retention bonus provided—up to $5000 annually. Our Homecare Therapists have flexible scheduling options with part or full time openings. Job Description Summary: Diagnoses and treats speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, helping patients improve their communication abilities and quality of life through various techniques and interventions. Job Description: Essential Functions: Administers therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits to provide optimal development, function, and independence. Utilizes developmental activities and other treatment techniques to meet each patient’s specific needs and achieve therapy goals. Observes and modifies treatment plan accordingly. Communicates patient’s status and collaborates with physicians, third-party payors, and relevant healthcare providers. Conducts Speech Language Pathology educational programs and provides instruction for hospital staff, students, and community. Delegates to students from accredited programs and supervises Clinical Fellows and licensed speech aides. Documents as appropriate and in compliance with requirements of the hospital and accrediting associations. Maintains the administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling, entering daily charges, and submitting timely documentation. Educates on treatment goals and therapy plans, instructs on therapeutic activities to follow at home, and evaluates ongoing compliance and understanding. Evaluates patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental and functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations. Identifies patient’s strengths and deficits, establishes goals, and develops an individualized treatment plan incorporating patient and family needs.
