About The Position

The Homebound Teacher will provide educational services to students in an off-campus setting, ensuring effective communication with students and parents while encouraging parental involvement in the student's education. This role is part-time, requiring five hours of direct service per week, and involves collaboration with school staff and administration.

Requirements

  • MN Teaching License in Special Education or ability to obtain an out of field permission in Special Education.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to the teaching assignment.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide five hours of direct educational service to a student in an off-campus setting.
  • Encourage parental involvement in the student's education.
  • Ensure effective communication with students and parents.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators.
