About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Homebound Special Education Instructor (Multi -Categorical) to provide individualized, homebound instructional services for an elementary -aged student in the Five Forks/Greenville area of South Carolina. This role is ideal for a certified special educator seeking a flexible, part -time opportunity delivering specialized instruction to a student with moderate intellectual disabilities, while collaborating closely with the school -based team. This homebound instructional position supports a student who is unable to attend school in person. All curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional guidance will be provided by the student’s school -based Case Manager. The instructor will be responsible for delivering instruction aligned with the student’s IEP, monitoring progress, and maintaining consistent communication with the school team. The schedule is structured in two phases to accommodate compensatory services and ongoing instructional needs.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina Teaching Certification in Special Education (Multi -Categorical).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Reliable transportation to the Five Forks / Monarch Elementary area.

• Experience working with students with Moderate Intellectual Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized, individualized instruction based on lesson plans provided by the school -based Case Manager.
• Implement instructional strategies appropriate for a student with moderate intellectual disabilities.
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain regular communication and instructional “check -ins” with the Case Manager to ensure compliance with the IEP.
• Provide feedback and updates regarding student engagement, performance, and instructional needs.
• Ensure instruction is delivered in a safe, supportive, and structured home environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
