Job Summary: The Home Visitor position conducts visits within a family's community, focusing on optimizing the health and development of young children. This position works with parents and caregivers to provide support, advocacy, and service coordination using trauma informed and curriculum-based approaches. Outcomes will foster self-sufficiency, prenatal care, positive parenting and family dynamics, health and wellness, family safety and child development. The Home Visitor is responsible for completing full training on the evidence-based Parents as Teachers program and implementing the home visits in full fidelity.

Requirements

Minimum AA degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Education, Human Services, or related field and two years of experience working with children and/or families in diverse communities.
Minimum of two years' experience working with low-income families with children ages birth through five in their homes.
Demonstrated ability to understand and work well with families of young children challenged by economic and personal problems from socially diverse backgrounds and with other professionals.
Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing with a variety of people.
Maintain a valid driver's license, current car insurance, and use of personal vehicle for agency business.
