East Tennessee State University, College of Nursing, is currently seeking a Home Visiting Nurse (RN) for our Northeast Tennessee Nurse-Family Partnership (NETNFP) Program. The NETNFP is part of the national Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program that provides vital support to first-time mothers by promoting and supporting healthy pregnancies and postnatal care by providing mothers with a personal nurse in the home during and after pregnancy. The NFP program, funded by the TN Department of Health, has served nine (9) counties in Northeast Tennessee since 2017 including: Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington. The program is expanding in July 2024 to include (4) four additional counties: Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, and Jefferson. The home base for these positions will be in Bean Station, Grainger County, TN. The Home Visiting Nurse (RN) is responsible to the Nursing Director for providing home visits to women and their families eligible for the NFP Program; adhering to nursing process and the NFP model of home visitation; carrying a case load of up to 25 clients; and other duties as assigned. This position is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position contingent on grant funding.
