About The Position
Essential Job Functions: Proper operation of 21” mower Proper operation of blower Proper operation of string trimmer Proper operation of an edger Proper operation of walk behind mid-size mowers Proper operation of gas power shears Must be able to learn basic detail methods of weeding, raking and clean up Must be able to learn correct edging procedure for maintaining bed lines, tree rings and hard surfaces Must be able to learn standard detail methods of pruning and hand shearing Attendance and punctuality is critical due to the scope of responsibilities and impact on other positions and department. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Essential Qualifications: Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License Must be insurable for automobile insurance with company’s auto insurance carrier Must have good driving record for driving company vehicles on and off property Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions Must have ability to learn and operate hand-held and powered equipment Must be in good physical condition Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing, kneeling, squatting, bending and lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds Must have high tolerance to work long hours in the cold, heat and inclement weather Must have ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees, management and the public
