About The Position

The Home Renovation Laborer supports home remodeling and renovation projects by performing manual labor, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment. This role involves hands-on tasks in demolition, construction, and cleanup under the direction of supervisors or contractors.

Requirements

  • 1+ years in construction, renovation, or general labor preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in varying conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or specialized training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demolition: Remove old fixtures, drywall, flooring, or structures safely and efficiently.
  • Material Handling: Transport, load, and unload construction materials (e.g., lumber, tiles, drywall).
  • Site Preparation: Clear debris, set up scaffolding, and prepare work areas for renovation tasks.
  • Basic Construction: Perform tasks such as framing, installing insulation, or hanging drywall under supervision.
  • Cleanup: Maintain a clean job site by sweeping, disposing of waste, and organizing tools/materials.
  • Tool Maintenance: Clean and store hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, wear protective gear, and report hazards.
