About the Team The Home Medical Equipment (HME) team supports Lakewood patients and community members by providing access to medical equipment and supplies essential for safety, comfort, and independence in their homes. Mission for Position The Home Medical Equipment Coordinator ensures every patient receives exceptional customer service and high-quality home medical equipment that enhances their health and wellbeing. Position Summary The Home Medical Equipment Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to Lakewood Health System Medical Marketplace customers by coordinating patient intake, insurance authorizations, order processing, and follow-up communications. This role requires strong knowledge of medical equipment and supplies to educate patients on safe and effective use. The coordinator ensures accurate documentation and insurance claims, collaborates with providers and internal teams, and supports retail store operations while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.
