About The Position

The position involves meeting with potential borrowers to understand their financial goals and homeownership aspirations. The role requires maintaining knowledge of various mortgage products and educating clients about the features, benefits, and terms related to these mortgage options. Additionally, the candidate will assist clients with the mortgage application process and the collection of necessary documentation. Analyzing client credit reports, financial statements, and debt-to-income ratios to determine mortgage pre-qualification is also a key responsibility. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is essential for ensuring long-term business growth and referrals. Networking with real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals to generate leads is expected. Providing positive customer experiences by addressing all questions and concerns related to the mortgage application and approval process is crucial. The candidate must also maintain knowledge of all lending regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Strong technical experience with origination systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage programs and products.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to assess clients' financial situations through financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations.
  • High School diploma or GED and minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience.
  • Valid Driver's License, Mortgage Loan Originator license approved by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
