About The Position

HouseMaster Bay Area is seeking a full-time home inspector to join a high-volume, professional inspection team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to complete accurate, thorough home inspections while clearly communicating findings to clients. This position is best suited for someone who can operate independently, manage multiple inspections per week, and perform full-scope inspections without limitations.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in construction, home inspection, or related field
Strong understanding of residential building systems
Valid driver’s license
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
Physically capable of: Climbing ladders Walking on roofs Entering crawlspaces and attics Standing for extended periods
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable entering homes that may contain pets, dust, or other environmental factors
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
This role requires the ability to perform full inspections without physical limitations, including crawlspaces and attic access. Candidates who are not comfortable with these conditions will not be a fit.

Responsibilities

Perform ~2 home inspections per day (8–10 per week)
Conduct full-scope residential inspections, including: Crawlspaces Attics Roofs Older homes
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and agents onsite
Complete detailed inspection reports using company software
Travel to inspection sites throughout the service area
Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and consistency in all inspections
