About The Position

The Home Infusion Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality, in-home infusion therapy to patients. This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license and the ability to deliver exceptional patient care while managing various infusion treatments in a home setting. The RN utilizes physicians, community resources, and the patient’s support system ensuring that all care delivered meets agency standards and regulatory requirements. Baptist Health is looking for a Home Infusion RN to join our team at Baptist Health Lexington Home Care, 2100 Nicholasville Rd, Lexington, KY! 4 days/32 hours per week, 9am - 5:30pm. Rotate on call holidays (Summer/Winter) with other RNs. Rotate weekend call with other RNs. Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, and case managers, to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure timely communication and documentation of patient status and care provided. Educate patients and their families on infusion procedures, medication administration, and how to manage potential side effects. Provide guidance on maintaining a sterile environment and proper use of infusion equipment. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, response to therapy, and overall progress. Identify and report any adverse reactions or complications to the supervising physician. Manage and maintain infusion supplies, equipment, and medications, ensuring that all are available and properly stored. Coordinate with the pharmacy and suppliers to replenish inventory as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication logs. Requirements

  • Associates degree required, BSN degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Must have valid KY RN license.
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Infusion Nursing Certification (CRNI) is a plus.
  • Experience with central lines, PICC lines, ports and peripheral IVs preferred.
