Good speech therapists help patients regain communication, cognition, and swallowing skills. Great speech therapists individualize their treatment plan based on the needs, issues and age of each patient. Great speech therapists focus on improvement, adjust their approach depending on how the patient is responding, and understand that therapy is a progressive activity. We are looking for a great speech therapist. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Performs comprehensive speech and language evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning. Documents patient assessments and pertinent information in a timely manner. Completes appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning. Provides speech therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment. Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care. Provides speech and language therapy according to standards of care defined by the state practice act and other professional and governing agencies. Trains and educate patients and family members or others support and document understanding of treatment plan and goals.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree- Speech and Language Therapy- Required
  • 1 Year Speech Therapy Experience - Required
  • Speech Pathologist (SPE)- State Licensing Board - Required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)-American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) -Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)- American Heart Association - Required
  • Driver's License - Required
  • Auto Insurance - Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year Home Health Experience - Preferred
