About The Position

The Home Health Account Executive is responsible for marketing healthcare services to various referral sources, including doctors' offices, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining relationships with these sources to achieve the company's financial and market share goals. This position requires a proactive approach to prospecting new accounts while managing existing ones, with a significant emphasis on community visibility and education about the company's services.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of healthcare sales experience, with home health experience being a plus.
  • Established community relationships and connections for referrals.
  • Excellent people and relationship skills with referral sources, patients, and families.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, self-starter with problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable about standards of practice for all services offered.
  • Valid driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance.
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites and attend required meetings.
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic sales skills.

Responsibilities

  • Market healthcare services to doctors' offices, hospitals, nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.
  • Identify and educate potential customers and referral sources about the company's services.
  • Establish trusted relationships with referral sources and in-house staff.
  • Prospect for new accounts and maintain current accounts while complying with sales policies and procedures.
  • Conduct in-services, presentations, and educational luncheons to promote services.
  • Host and attend relevant community events to introduce home health care services.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing/sales activities for company services.
  • Consult regularly with the Administrator on marketing/sales activities.
  • Interact with Directors and Supervisors regarding account maintenance.
  • Coordinate and complete on-site discharge planning when needed.
  • Design a regular schedule of visits to referral sources in the defined market area.
  • Develop sales strategies to enhance agency positioning in the community.
