About The Position
The Home Health Nurse RN position is a contract role based in Rosedale, MD, designed for a duration of 13 weeks. This position requires a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide essential home health services to patients who may be chronically ill, disabled, elderly, or recovering from accidents or injuries. The nurse will work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with on-call responsibilities approximately every 4 to 6 weeks. The role involves a variety of nursing tasks, including IV therapy, medication management, and wound care, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in the comfort of their homes. As a Home Health Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and documenting the patient's condition during each visit, which includes evaluating vital signs and reviewing medications. You will administer physician-prescribed medications and provide wound care, ensuring that dressings are applied correctly and assessing the healing process. Education is a key component of this role, as you will guide patients and their families on effective home health care procedures and strategies to enhance their well-being. Collaboration is essential in this position, as you will coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care plan. Your role will also include recommending tools or devices that can improve the patient's quality of life and providing palliative care to ensure comfort. Experience with Oasis documentation is a requirement for this position, as it is crucial for maintaining accurate patient records and care plans.
