The Role at a Glance We’re seeking a part-time PTA to support our home health patients throughout South Lyon, Plymouth, and Walled Lake. You’ll work alongside an experienced Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility, improve strength, and maintain independence—without the pressure of weekends or holidays. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active Michigan PTA license in good standing
  • Minimum 6 months of PTA experience (home health experience preferred)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
  • Comfortable traveling within the assigned coverage area
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and assisting patients

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized therapy treatments in patients’ homes under the established Plan of Care
  • Help patients improve mobility, balance, and strength to safely navigate daily life
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and proper use of equipment
  • Observe, document, and communicate patient progress and any changes to the supervising PT
  • Follow all state practice guidelines and Elara Caring clinical standards
  • Assist with transfers, mobility, and hands-on care as needed in a home-based environment
