About The Position

Organizes and conducts medically prescribed therapy programs in the home/daycare center to restore function to patient.

Requirements

  • Undergrad degree
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in occupational therapy
  • (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire
  • (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Valid Texas Driver's License, proof of driver's insurance Upon Hire
  • Current licensure as Occupational Therapist Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Designs occupational therapy programs and sets goals for each patient.
  • Administers occupational therapy care programs or portions of programs.
  • Provides instructions in therapeutic procedures to be continued by patient and family.
  • Evaluates, records, and reports on patient's progress for review by members of care team.
  • Maintains patient records and charts to ensure accurate record of treatment.
  • Identifies patient's occupational therapy needs to achieve long and short-term goals to meet needs.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
