An Occupational Therapist will follow appropriate practices to perform evaluations, timely re-evaluations and OASIS assessments, determine OT diagnoses, develop a plan of care with updates at appropriate time points, and perform occupational therapy procedures to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, improving health, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disability. A staff Occupational Therapist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span, be able to assess patients' needs and status by analyzing evaluated data, and be able to interpret information to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly per patient care setting. The Therapist is required to be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various patient care settings.
