Requirements

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in Washington state (or before your first day of work)
  • One to two years of experience as a Occupational Therapist
  • Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care through functional assessments, identification of performance deficits, and development of client‑centered treatment plans in home health settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized OT care plans focused on improving ADLs, IADLs, safety, participation, and environmental adaptations.
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, compensatory strategies, energy conservation, home exercise/engagement programs, and safe use of adaptive equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care, effective communication, and safe discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, functional outcomes, and clinical reasoning while adhering to professional OT standards and medical terminology.
  • Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy, particularly in home health, geriatrics, functional rehabilitation, and aging‑in‑place strategies.
