About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at Carilion Clinic, you will help transform healthcare by working a flexible/PRN schedule of two days a week and one weekend per month, with occasional holidays. You will interact with patients, families, visitors, and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate, and manage the plan of care. Your responsibilities will include delegating and overseeing the delivery of patient care while maintaining confidentiality. You will demonstrate knowledge of life span growth and development principles and assess data reflective of the patient's status. The role may expose you to infectious diseases, bio-hazardous materials, and requires physical demands such as lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and walking. You may also be asked to provide care at other Carilion facilities and some positions may require taking call. Requirements

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• One year of experience required, with home health experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Virginia Driver's License.
• Must pass a Criminal Record Check as per Virginia state law.
• Must obtain and maintain AHA BLS-HCP certification.
• Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
• Must successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience in home health preferred.
