About The Position
North American Medical Associates (NAMA) is a growing Multi-Specialty Medical Practice with a team of doctors and professionals devoted to patient care: diagnosing, managing, and treating chronic pain. Core Job Responsibilities Home health medical assistants are responsible for a mix of medical monitoring, personal care, and administrative support.
Requirements
- Current Certificate from an accredited; NJ, PA or DE Medical Assistant training school.
- Current CPR license
- High level of professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel Required
Nice To Haves
- Preferred 2+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
- Inventory management experience
Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Monitor and document the patient's physical and mental condition, reporting any significant changes to a supervising nurse or physician.
- Collect routine specimens for lab testing, such as urine or blood.
- Guide patients through prescribed physical therapy exercises and range-of-motion activities.
- Schedule medical appointments
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document all services provided.
