You help people in their homes as a Home Health Aide. Mostly older adults. Baths, getting dressed, meals, light cleaning, errands, companionship. This is physical work — you help people move around and stand most of the day. If you need help doing these tasks, tell us. We can talk about what might work. You do NOT give medicine or do medical tasks. That's for nurses. FOUR WAYS TO QUALIFY AS AN HHA Way 1: You have an STNA license (fastest) Starting pay: $18/hour What you need: Active STNA license in Ohio. Timeline: 1-3 days if you move fast. Why faster: You already passed the state test. That's what your license means. Other Home Health Aides take a written and skills test with us. You don't. Steps: 1. Apply with your STNA license number 2. Phone talk (20 minutes) 3. Short online questionnaire 4. Sign your paperwork online 5. Online orientation + document verification (30-40 minutes) 6. Fingerprinting Way 2: You have an HHA certificate Starting pay: $16-18/hour based on interview What you need: HHA certificate, 30+ hours, signed by RN (unless completed online). Timeline: 5-8 days to working. Steps: 1. Apply and send your certificate 2. Phone talk (20 minutes) 3. Short online questionnaire 4. Take the HHA test at our office (scheduled with you) 5. Sign your paperwork online 6. Online orientation + document verification (30-40 minutes) 7. Fingerprinting Way 3: You have Home Health Aide or Nurse Aide experience but no certificate Starting pay: $16-18/hour based on interview What you need: 1+ year paid HHA or Nurse Aide work under a nurse's supervision. Timeline: 5-8 days after your old employer confirms. Steps: 1. Apply 2. Fill out your part of the reference form (we send it) 3. We contact your old job — you're copied on the email 4. They confirm your HHA experience 5. Phone talk (20 minutes) 6. Short online questionnaire 7. Take the HHA test at our office (scheduled with you) 8. Sign your paperwork online 9. Online orientation + document verification (30-40 minutes) 10. Fingerprinting If your old employer doesn't respond in a few days, follow up with them. The faster they respond, the faster you start. Way 4: You're new to Home Health Aide work Starting pay: $16/hour What you need: Willingness to help people. We teach everything else. Timeline: 1-2 weeks to working. Steps: 1. Apply 2. Phone talk (20 minutes) 3. Short online questionnaire 4. Complete free 32-hour online HHA training (at home, 6 days to finish, NOT paid) 5. Take the HHA test at our office (scheduled with you) 6. Sign your paperwork online 7. Online orientation + document verification (30-40 minutes) 8. Fingerprinting If you don't finish training in 6 days, we close your application. If something comes up, text us right away.
