Concordia Visiting Nurses is a Medicare-certified, state licensed, Medicaid approved home health agency operating in nine Western Pennsylvania counties. For well over a decade, Concordia Visiting Nurses has provided high-quality skilled nursing, palliative care, and a variety of therapy services to our patients. Requirements

  • A genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact on their lives?
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients and families.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient demeanor.
  • Reliability, adaptability, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with composure.
  • Basic medical knowledge, including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and infection control.
  • Physical stamina to assist with mobility and transfers.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CPR, First Aid, or HHA/CNA certification (or a willingness to obtain them).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation (for roles requiring travel).

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage in activities to promote well-being.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the safe use of assistive devices like wheelchairs and walkers.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
