Requirements

  • Minimum one year work experience.
  • Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the board.
  • A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
  • Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
  • Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.

  • Previous home health care or patient care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home, following a written plan of care by a registered nurse.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
  • Provide household support such as light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
  • Prepare and assist with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Assist with range of motion exercises.
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and the use of mechanical lifting devices.
  • Provide medication reminders and assistance.
  • Perform vital sign checks, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
