About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Stark and Summit County, Ohio. The company offers multiple paths to employment depending on the applicant's background: STNA license holders can start in 1-3 days, HHA certificate holders or those with 1+ year of supervised experience under an RN or LPN can start in 5-8 days, and individuals new to caregiving can receive free 32-hour online training and start in 1-2 weeks. The work primarily involves assisting older adults with daily life activities in their homes, such as bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. Most clients are in Summit County (Akron area), with fewer clients currently in Stark County. Applicants' preferences for counties and travel distance are considered for client matching. All Home Health Aides must pass a competency test, unless they have an STNA license or have already passed an HHA test with 80% or higher.

Requirements

Driver's license
Your own car with insurance that covers work driving
Pass background checks
Work at least 20 hours/week
Available between 6AM-8PM
Legal right to work in the US
Must be at least 18 years old
Pass a competency test (written questions and skills demonstration, 80% on both) OR have an active/expired STNA license OR show results of a previously passed HHA test (80% or higher)
For HHA Certificate Path: HHA certificate (30+ hours, signed by RN unless completed online)
For Experience Path: 1+ year at one company where your supervisor was an RN or LPN (in nursing homes, hospitals, skilled home health agencies, or assisted living with licensed nurses on staff)
For Free Training Path: Complete free 32-hour online HHA training within 6 days

Open to most things regarding client matching (pets, smoking, travel distance, days and times) for faster client assignment

Be on your feet most of the day

Report incidents within 24 hours

Clock in and out (app or phone)
Follow call-off steps if you can't make a shift
Answer office calls and texts quickly
Send updated documents when we ask (insurance, license, training)
Complete feedback forms when sent
