About The Position

This position is for a Home Health Aide at a home health agency. The agency is hiring PRN and part-time home health aides and STNAs, offering flexible hours including nights and weekends. The Home Health Aide is a member of the home care team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves performing various personal care services to meet client needs, observing clients, reporting observations, and documenting care performed. Assignments are made to promote quality, continuity, and safety of client care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare or relevant experience
• Certified in CPR, or willing to become certified before starting work
• Have reliable transportation
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English
• Ability to treat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and present a positive public image
• Work as a team member
• Ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information

Responsibilities

• Provide client care as directed by the Director of Nursing or Registered Nurse Supervisor
• Observe clients, report these observations, and document observations and care performed
• Perform various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs
