About The Position
As a Home Health Aide at Yorktown Assisted Living Residence, you will play a crucial role in providing personal care and supportive services to residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and participate in daily activities. Under the supervision of the Licensed Practical Nurse and the Director of Clinical Operations, your responsibilities will include assisting residents with their personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as providing emotional support and companionship. You will be expected to respond promptly to resident needs, ensuring a warm and respectful environment that promotes dignity and comfort. In addition to personal care, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe living environment for residents. This includes managing personal belongings, assisting with laundry, and ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked. You will document care provided using the Point Click Care computerized charting system, and actively participate in safety drills and performance improvement initiatives. Your role will also involve engaging residents in recreational activities, helping them to stay active and socially connected within the community. The position requires a commitment to following established protocols for infection control, safety, and privacy, as well as a dedication to continuous professional development through mandatory in-service training. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration and communication, working together to enhance the quality of life for all residents.
