About The Position

The Home Health Aide Trainee position is designed for individuals who are looking to start a career in home health care. The role involves participating in training programs that include reading, discussion, and written coursework. Trainees will be required to demonstrate their skills by performing activities listed on the home health aide competency test and must achieve a score of 80% or higher on quizzes and exams. Attendance at all required training classes and clinical orientations is mandatory.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Driver's License (NYS DL) - not required for ElderONE.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) to two (2) years of direct patient care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to meet physical demands, such as continuous standing or walking and lifting weight up to 35 lbs.
• Strong computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities
