About The Position

The Home Health Aide Overnight Resting Caregiver provides a supportive presence in a senior's home overnight, offering peace of mind for clients and their families. This role is primarily a resting shift, but the caregiver must remain available to assist the client as needed during the night. Assistance may include helping with mobility, toileting, medication reminders, or providing comfort and reassurance if the client awakens. A faith-driven, compassionate team dedicated to high-quality senior care.

Requirements

Experience in senior caregiving or a related field preferred.
Ability to respond quickly and appropriately if assistance is needed.
Compassionate, patient, and understanding of aging-related challenges (dementia, mobility issues, incontinence).
Reliable, professional, and trustworthy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must pass background checks and meet state caregiving requirements.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for driving-based shifts)

Responsibilities

Ensure client safety throughout the night, remaining on-site and available for assistance.
Provide occasional assistance with toileting , transfers , or mobility as needed.
Offer reassurance and companionship if the client wakes up confused or anxious.
Respond promptly to emergency situations (falls, medical concerns, wandering).
Assist with medication reminders (if part of the care plan).
Document and report any nighttime disturbances, changes in condition, or concerns to the Care Coordinator.
Maintain a clean and safe sleeping environment for the client.
